The Rouge Valley Curling Club (RVCC) operates as a mixed league at Tam Heather Curling and Tennis Club, offering a welcoming and flexible curling experience for women and men of all ages. These Terms of Play outline the legal and operational requirements for participation in RVCC activities. By registering, all members agree to comply with these terms.
Location: Tam Heather Curling & Tennis Club, 730 Military Trail, Toronto, Ontario, M1E 4P7
RVCC provides a structured yet social curling environment from mid-autumn to early spring. Our league features:
Weekly Schedule: Matches run on Monday late afternoons on a consistent weekly timeframe.
Skill Development: Occasional instructional sessions are provided for ongoing technical development.
Club Events: Annual coordination of the club's signature spring Bonspiel event (separate registration applies).
Community: Social opportunities to connect with fellow curlers, improve team play, and participate in an end-of-season awards banquet.
Roster Flexibility: Support for standard deliveries from the hack as well as delivery stick accommodations. A flexible spare pool is actively maintained for players unable to commit to a full-time regular schedule.
All members must remain in good standing by adhering to club policies and financial deadlines:
Full-Time Allocation: Full-time roster slots are designated by the Executive based on registration timestamps, returning veteran status, payment confirmation, and waiver completion.
Spare Registrations: Registration for the league spare list remains open to all eligible players throughout the season.
Fee Structure: Split into standard full-time rates, early bird registration windows, and per-game spare fees. Standard spare fees are discounted for registered members of the host facility. Exact rate sheets are determined annually by the Executive based on facility operational and ice rental overhead.
Payment Administration: Deposits or full seasonal balances must be submitted before the autumn league deadline to guarantee roster placement. Payments are processed via electronic transfer (E-transfer) or standard mail directly to the Club Treasurer.
⚠️ Important Legal Notice: By completing registration and accepting these terms, you waive certain legal rights, including the right to file legal claims or lawsuits against the organization. Please read this section thoroughly.
